Cellulite is a common appearance created by the three-dimensional relationship between skin, connective tissue bands, fascia, and fat. Glute training may change the muscle beneath the area and overall body composition may change the context, but neither guarantees cellulite removal. No exercise can reliably select where fat is lost.
Understand the anatomy
Modern anatomic reviews describe cellulite as a three-dimensional interaction of superficial and deep fat layers, fascia, and connective tissue. It is especially common in women and can appear across a wide range of body-fat levels and fitness statuses.
Know what training can do
Resistance training can build glute muscle and improve strength. Changes in muscle and total body composition can alter the area's appearance, but the response is individual and should not be marketed as a cure.
Be skeptical of local-loss promises
Classic localized-exercise research found no targeted fat loss, while a small newer abdominal study reported a localized effect under one specific endurance protocol. That mixed and narrow evidence does not support promises that a glute workout, wrap, cream, or supplement will remove butt cellulite.
Cellulite means your glutes are weak or you have too much body fat.
It reflects normal tissue architecture and occurs in trained, lean, and untrained people.
